Procedure Details

Age: 25-34
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 120
BMI: 18.8
This patient came to Dr. Plant with severe capsular contractures on both sides, causing her breasts to appear very wide apart and leaving her quite uncomfortable as well. Dr. Plant was able to give her soft, symmetrical breasts by performing a capsulectomy, replacing her existing 320cc implants with a slightly larger 345g full profile round silicone gel implant and inserting Alloderm acellular dermal matrix to decrease the risk of a future capsular contracture recurrence.

How long does a breast revision procedure take?

The duration of breast revision surgery varies depending on the complexity of the procedure and whether implants are being removed, replaced, or repositioned. Most surgeries take two to three hours, and patients can typically go home the same day. Dr. Plant uses advanced surgical techniques to ensure a smooth procedure and optimal healing.

Are the results of breast implant removal permanent?

Yes, breast implant removal results are permanent, but natural aging and weight fluctuations may continue to affect breast shape over time. Some patients may choose to undergo a breast lift or fat transfer to enhance contours after removal.

Dr. Plant uses advanced techniques to ensure that results look natural and proportionate for years to come.

Are there risks associated with breast implant removal?

Breast implant removal is a safe and effective procedure when performed by an experienced surgeon like Dr. Plant. However, as with any surgery, potential risks include scarring, temporary changes in sensation, or minor asymmetry.

Dr. Plant prioritizes patient safety and precision, using the most advanced surgical techniques to minimize risks and ensure optimal healing. During your consultation, he will discuss any potential concerns and how they are managed, ensuring you feel fully informed and confident in your decision.

Will my breasts look deflated after implant removal?

Many patients worry that their breasts will look deflated or saggy after removing implants. The final appearance depends on factors such as skin elasticity, implant size, and how long the implants were in place.

For patients with minimal skin laxity, the breasts often return to a natural, balanced shape over time. If additional support is needed, a breast lift or fat transfer can restore volume and improve breast position. Dr. Plant works with each patient to determine the best approach for achieving a natural, proportionate result.

How much does breast implant removal cost in Toronto?

The cost of breast implant removal varies based on the complexity of the procedure and whether a breast lift or fat grafting is included. During your consultation, Dr. Plant will provide a detailed estimate after assessing your goals, anatomy, and desired outcome.

While cost is a consideration, choosing an experienced and skilled surgeon ensures the quality, safety, and longevity of your results.
